I'm a self-taught artist currently residing in Georgia.  I've always had a
passion for creating things! I'm a pack rat at heart and always wonder
"what can I make with that?"  I have to admit that I've always had way
too many hobbies, but painting and creating with clay are my true
passions.

I am married to an amazingly supportive husband and we've been
blessed with 3 fabulous boys.   We've been fortunate to travel the world
and live in some amazing countries like Japan, Iceland and England.

When I became a military wife 19 years ago I started making gifts for
family and friends as a way to save money.  One of the first things I
painted was Japanese warrior shirts using fabric paint and selling them at
the base’s gift shop.  When we moved to Iceland, I painted ornaments,
plates and mugs and sold them through the base’s USO.  When next
stationed in England, I painted ornaments with English cottages,
telephone boxes, local castles and village signs, selling them at the base’s
bazaar.

In 2000, we moved to Nebraska and I saw Donna Dewberry and her One
Stroke painting method on PBS.  The One Stroke method of painting was
so easy to learn and really accelerated the time it took to complete a
project.  I immediately put the method to good use on much of my
artwork.  I found that I loved to paint flowers and did so on over 1,500
flower pots.  After another assignment to England, we returned to
Georgia and I attended my first certification to become a One Stroke
Certified Instructor (2005).  Since then I have continued to certify in
additional Certifications with Dewberry Crafts (Level II, High Definition,
Studio Home Dimensions, and Professional Home Specialist).  I love
learning new things that will make me a better artist and teacher.  My
primary medium is acrylics on canvas, but I also paint decorative
glassware, windows, clothing and wall murals.  In January 2008 I added
clay sculpting to my repertoire by becoming a Studio Home Dimensions
Certified Instructor and in December 2008 became a Studio Home
Dimensions Regional Trainer.

I teach decorative painting/One Stroke painting classes and Studio Clay
classes at Hobby Lobby in Warner Robins.  I also hold certifications for
Studio Home Dimensions - check out my Certifications page for more
details.

I feel so blessed to be able to share my passion for painting and creating
with clay with others!
